still missing thomas on 71 and 91 census

can anyone find thomas galsworthy on the 71 and 91 census'? he was born in 1835 in north molton, devon. i have him in 41 living with parents in st colomb, cornwall, 51 in crediton as an apprentice blacksmith, 61 is a possibility although birth place doesnt match, 81 hes lodging with his sister and her family and has a daughter ellen born 1874. then in 1901 he is in hull as is his daughter but not together. thanks everyone thats already had a look for me, just really struggling to find him. especially in 71. can anyone help lou |

sorry about the delay then, children to deal with! thomas was definately a black smith although was a bottlewasher in 1901. up till 81 hes definately a smith. that is his daughter ellen for sure. i had looked on bmd for a marraige but didnt get anything so thanks, thats a good possibility. lou |

that looks promising! i have a possibility of thomas in 61. hes down as married but his wife isnt with him. the birth yr is 33 but thats not far out. the only thing is he is down as born in truro cornwall. that definately looks like his wife though which means that ellen had siblings! thanks |

This is the only marriage for an Isabella Galsworthy (cant find a death) but it looks like there is a missing groom and I cant see her in 1891 under Cartwright or Timms.... Computer keeps crashing this morning - so lose track of Georgina's discoveries! Looked for Isabella in 1871 - guess what, can't find her either. Whole family must be dreadfully mistranscribed. Going back for another look. Update: nothing obvious for Thomas, Harriet, Isabella in 1871 - used places of birth. |

arent u clever georgina, u should start charging! thomas is a widow in 81 so that fits in perfectly too. i can confirm this if i order the certificate of ellens birth as there is one on free bmd. lou |

just been continuing my quest. there is nothing obvious that i can see for thomas, harriett and isabella in 71. they could be in scotland i suppose. |
