Hi Tracy thank you for the look up, could I be a pain and ask what the values were of the properties to see if they might be my poorer relatives!! most of mine have had properties worth shillings rather than pounds. Teresa

Suzy-in-the-Skye Report 8 Jun 2006 15:30

Hi Tracy, thanks for you kind offer. Could you try to trace my gt.gt.gt grandparents marriage for me please. They are William & Elizabeth Simmonette. He was born circa 1818/1819 in Richmond, North Yorks. She was born circa 1828 same place. I do not know her maiden name. He moved to Sunderland & is there on the 1841 census, but by 1851 he had moved to Middleton in Teesdale, Co.Durham & was married to Elizabeth with 2 children by then. so I have no idea where there met or where indeed they married? I have seen numerous spellings of their surname, including:- Simonet, Simmonet, Simmonett & even a Simmonelle (enumerator left off the T Bars hence the double LL). If by any chance you do not find their marriage but find any other Simmonette's along the way, would you let me know of them, as they are very few & far between & I suspect there would certainly be a link. Any help would be appreciated. Best regards, Suzy.

Hi Tracy Wondered if you could help to trace a friend's father, William McMahon born Belfast 1921c, he married Margaret Devine. She came to England pregnant with Anthony, mid 1950s. There was also a daughter age about 3 left with William. William worked as a soldier in the army. Margaret Devine, Anthony's late mother, was born 1921c Belfast also. Thank you Sandra

Hello Tracy - If you're not completely sick of doing lookups yet, could you please check to see if any of the following marriages are in Boyd’s Register: Richard Perrott & Mary Ann ? abt. 1802 Devon John Perrott & Christian ? abt. 1755 Devon Edward Perrott & Ealse (Alice?) ? abt 1605 Devon Note that Perrott was variously spelled as Parrett, Perriot, etc… before the 19th century. It’s very kind of you to offer this help – thank you so much. Tim in Canada

Hi Tracy, I have tried just about everywhere for this mans family, William Barnard, br Writtle Essex 1826. So far I have him living with Elizabeth Barnard in the 1841 Census, but don't know her relationship to him, unable to find him in the 1851 census. He Married Hannah Goodwin, in March1/4 at West Ham, so if you can't find him at all, I guess I will have to splurge for a marriage cert. Many thanks for the offer. Ben.

Hi Tracy,

Could you please look up a Ralph Bertram Robinson in the Wills section? He was born 11th July, 1922 and died in 1987 in Cambridge. Thank you!

I know this is a sort of stupid question, but I've really hit a brick wall. Would the will state the names of his children (I know it will), but if that doesnt work out is there any other way to find out? Thanks again!
