Hi Lorraine, On FreeBMD there is a record of the marriage in 2nd Quarter 1841 in Islington of a John Royall Clark. He is almost certainly on my paternal ancestry line, but I don't have any further information on him. Are you able to find anything on him? Thanks, Kev

Hi Lorraine, Thank you very much of your help. The John Lewsley you found is definitely my ancestor. Sons are from 1st marriage. With the info you have given me and the assistance of the marriage certificate I have sent away for I should be able to confirm a few more details of his marriage to Catherine Papworth.
