Thanks so much for taking the trouble to look for me. I have a will for William Bawcomb in 1839 and he was living in Paddington. Hoped his family would still be in the area, but it seems not. Thanks anyway, much appreciated.

Hi Lorraine Thanks for your kind offer. I'd be grateful for any Cocks surnames, particularly in the Westminster area and asscoiated with undertakers/funeral directors. Thomas, John and William are the most likely candidates. Thanks in advance Ron

Lorriane YOU ARE A DIAMOND, THANK YOU!:)) I have my suspicions, as I think he may be a nephew in 1851, he named his first daughter Rebecca, its closing in... thanks Carrie

Ronald Report 7 Apr 2006 21:27

Hi Lorraine It's a possibility as my John was married to a Mary Todman, but I believe she was born in Westminster, not Paris. They did have a William and a John but the ages don't fit too well. I don't believe they had a David though. Thanks for your help. Maybe I can ask someone on this site to look at the 1851 census to see whether the information is maintained. All the best Ron
