Thanks for that Lesley At least we have the name of Mary Ann Cock's husband even though we couldn't trace a marriage. Presume the information I found for sister Sarah married to James Knight and on 1881 was correct? Thanks very much for all of it, it helps to tie up a few loose ends Ingrid

Hi Lesley I am forever in your debt - if you ever come to Costa Blanca let me know I owe you a large drink. From this info one assumes James senior married Mary Ann Flynn. Loads of info to add to family tree - all I have to do now is see if any rellies still live in Wales. Eternal thanks to you. You help so many people and we all appreciate it so much. The orchestral bit also makes sense James junior played in the Midland Light Orchestra and Paul, his son and my husband plays keyboard and saxaphone and our eldest son plays trumpet - me I play the fool!!! Thanks again Mary

Hi Lesley If you want to add anymore to your long list I would like confirmation on these: Trying to trace a confirmed marriage of : JamesCOCK born Broadstairs Kent 1842 on 1851 census with his family but only know it was Putney Hill, Putney Surrey ,the finder did not give me the RG no:! family details of that census MISTRANSCRIBED as Cook and are as follows: 1851: Putney Hill, Putney, Surrey Edward Cook abt 1816 Margate, Kent, England Head Putney Surrey Edward Cook abt 1848 Putney, Surrey, England Son Putney Surrey James Cook abt 1841 Broadstairs, Kent, England Son Putney Surrey Mary Cook abt 1815 Broadstairs, Kent, England Wife Putney Surrey Maryann Cook abt 1843 Broadstairs, Kent, England Daughter Putney Surrey Sarah Cook abt 1845 Broadstairs, Kent, England Daughter Putney Surrey Mary Knott abt 1827 Broadstairs, Kent, England Niece Putney Surrey Edward senior is a Police Constable. Possibilities I could find of Free BMD were: James Cock married possible (Susan?)* Burton 1862 Islington, I can find a Susan & James on the 1881 census in Wilmington Kent. Also: His Sisters Sarah & Mary Ann, can you trace their marriages please, possibility Sarah Cock to James Knight Wandsworth 1868, can't find any that match on Mary Ann Would be great if you can trace/confirm for me Thanks Ingrid
