Mother's maiden name is Dixon. Thanks Jeanette x

Just Arthur please Lesley. He's the one I've never met as he died some years ago. I know all about the other children from the marriage. Just a thought, but I suppose there was a slim chance he was christened Lawrence...........but I'm not absolutely sure of that, so stick with Arthur!!!!!! PS. My internet connection is playing up so that's why I'm a bit late getting back to you!

Jane Report 23 Mar 2006 15:43

Hi Thanks for the offer. RIght here goes, My grandfather was a thomas patrick frederick staveley born 1920 bermondsy. (although some army records state 1919), so far i cant find his birth registered anywhere. His mothers maiden name was styles or stiles we believe, and she died ealry on in my grandfather life, this unfortunately is all we know about her. His dad is Thomas Frederick Staveley (although on my grandfathers army records he is names as TF Johnson Staveley !?!) he died appox 1966? somewhere in England. Sorry i know this is a long shot! My grandfather had 4 siblings Ann, Eileen, Johnny and James(jimmy) all younger than my grandfather. Any information you could provide would be more than appreciated as my grandfather has provided me with a real mystery! Thanks for your time. Jane
