can you try christina coats im trying to find some brothers related to my george vernon and have searched everywhere else the travellers were based in camlachie christina coats is my gt gt grandmother she would be about 58 i just know there are more vernons there somewhere sorry

margaret in looking for anyone with the suname of vernon or coats in glasgow camlachie 1881. ive got them in 1891 in camlachie and some of the family in england 1881 but some are missing and i think the rest are still in scotland they are all travelling showpeople.

Dorothy , there are 4 Simon chisholm born 1870-81 in Dunfermline or Inverness and 19 Jessie mcgregor in 1880-1 alone none that are married to each other so very hard to know who without a place to search. Oh I see thanks. Good for her running the business! Am confused now though because no sign of daughter Jessie in 1871/1881. She lived beyond the 1940s because my cousin remembers her!!

Please could you do look up for Thomas Whelan married to Margaret and lived in Larkhall, Thomas was a coal miner. They had a son James b 1877, he would be aged about 3 or 4. Sorry but I do not know how old Thomas & Margaret was at the time of the census. If I discover anymore information, then I will update. Thanks so much Debbie
