Stephen Report 23 Feb 2006 17:25

Hi, Would really appreciate any help you can give. I am trying to find any information re a birth for a John France who was born in Settle, Yorkshire c 1802. He was named as a Veterinarian Surgeon on the baptism records of his two sons - John jnr who was baptised in Jan 1840 in Holywell, N Wales and Thomas Edward who was also baptised in 1842 in Holywell. His wife was named as Sarah, we can't find any marriage info on them or any record of them on the 1841 census. The two sons were at Whitford, Holywell on 1851 census with their Grandmother. John is on the 1851 census at Kendal but no trace of his wife Sarah. John died in Kendal in 1855. Any help would be appreciated. Gwen France

Hi Cheryl, Would be grateful if you could check some 1901 census details for me. First one is called William Castle born 1890 - Institute 49 Folio 104 Page 13. Second also William Castle born 1877 - Institute 4 Folio 11 Page 14. I'm interested to see the occupations of these two men so I can determine which, if any of them are mine. Many thanks in advance. Sarah
