Brian Report 27 Mar 2006 22:03

Hi Lorraine I am trying to trace the parents of my g-g grandfather. my g-grandfather James Overton was born c1815, i can find him on the 1851 census as a married man with 3 daughters, and on the 1861 census with 5 children i am interested to find him on the1841 census to see if he still lived with his parents he would have been approx 26 years old his first born child was Eliza born c1848. The family seemed to live in Cobham Surrey. James lived in Tin Row Cobham during his married life and married a Mary ?? from Great Bookham Surrey the next village. Thankyou for any help you can give, but i am aware that as you go back in time people seem to disappear. Regards Brian

Fraser Report 26 Mar 2006 22:25

I'm looking for John Masters Moss born c1829 in the 1841 Census. They may or may not use the 'Masters' middle name in the entry. Later in life 'harlow' has been listed as a middle name too. He should be about 12 Years old and probably in the Daventry district of nothamptonshire. I'm hoping you'll find out if his Parents and siblings are listed and this is the information I'm looking for for this post. Thanks for any help in advance This was his 1861 entry with his wife and family if that is any help: 1861 Census household of John M Moss Catherine Moss abt 1856 Whilton, Northamptonshire, England Daughter Whilton Northamptonshire Emma Moss abt 1851 Whilton, Northamptonshire, England Daughter Whilton Northamptonshire Francis Moss - shoemaker abt 1846 Whilton, Northamptonshire, England Son Whilton Northamptonshire Frederick Moss abt 1853 Whilton, Northamptonshire, England Son Whilton Northamptonshire Henry Moss abt 1854 Whilton, Northamptonshire, England Son Whilton Northamptonshire James Moss – farmers boy abt 1849 Whilton, Northamptonshire, England Son Whilton Northamptonshire John M Moss – ag lab abt 1823 Whilton, Northamptonshire, England Head Whilton Northamptonshire Mary Moss abt 1857 Whilton, Northamptonshire, England Daughter Whilton Northamptonshire Mary Ann Moss abt 1824 Whilton, Northamptonshire, England Wife Whilton Northamptonshire
