Squiggles Report 27 Dec 2005 17:53

IMPORTANT UPDATE!!!! 1st Jan 2006! As I detest the unfriendly format of the public thread here, could all future look ups please be emailed to me as follows: Email address: lookups a.t mysteryshoppersukdotcm (I've had to fiddle with the email address to get it to print but am sure you can work it out lol - the dotcm at the end should have an 'o' between the c and the m!!) The same rules apply as below and all emails will be answered in the order they are sent :O) I will continue in the thread below until all requests are completed, but please no more to be posted here - emails only!!! ------------> I have an unlimited subscription to 1837online so can do look ups for any births, deaths or marriage indexes for you between Sep 1837 and Dec 2003 (England and Wales only). :O) Because of high demand for searches, I am now having to restrict requests to just two years inclusive (or 8 searches over 4 quarters) per person per post. If you ask for more, I'm afraid I'll only complete 8 individual searches for you so as to reduce the long wait for others. I hope you'll understand my reasons for imposing the limit. You are more than welcome to email again to ask for further years, but might have a little bit of a wait until I catch up with you! Please try to include as much info as possible, re names, districts etc .;O) I'm offering simple look ups from the info you provide. Also, if you reply to me a request for a further search (extra years etc), would you mind ensurting the original info is included to save me trawling back through old emails looking for it. This will save me a lot of time which means I can do more searches more quickly! Sorry for the lengthy spiel - I wish I'd had the hindsight to pop a short message here and a lengthier explanation in the first post so the formatting wasn't lost, doh!! Many thanks for your understanding! Louise :O)

There's a Harry as follows: Deaths - Dec 1982 - Harry Havelock ANSTIS - b.10 Jul 1907 - Bakewell 6 0046 I'm still searching the remaining quarters but thought this could be of interest as the middle name is quite unusual? Louise :O)

Steve

Steve Report 27 Dec 2005 18:08

Thanks Louise. I think that is Gordon's brother.... I was searching the Index a while ago looking for my great grandmother who married Gordon. Interestingly they are both listed the same qtr 1982. Steve

Jean Report 27 Dec 2005 20:59

Hi Louise, Many thanks for the birth information, will check it through. I am afraid I cannot give you any more information regarding the marriage, other than that their first child was born in 1923, so perhaps it could have been 1922. I appreciate your help. Jean

Hi Lesley, :O) Re: Looking for death of John Taylor b. 1803, we think he died about May 1881. He lived in Wigan, Lancashire. Not much luck so far I'm afraid - I searched all quarters of 1881 and 1882 for you, and none of the ages at death matched the year of birth. The closest were the following: Jun 1881 - John TAYLOR - aged 88 - Wigan 8c 24 Mar 1882 - John TAYLOR - aged 62 - Wigan 8c 37 Let me know if you'd like me to check other years. Louise :O)

Sadly, records only began from Sep 1837 so I can't help you with this I'm afraid :O( Have you tried the IGI at familysearch.org? Good luck with your research, Louise :O)

Hi Louise Thank you very much for your offer. Would you kindly check for me - birth of John James Turner. On marriage cert in 1892 in Bethnal Green - age is quoted as 27 (which would imply 1865). There is a John James Turner on freebmd in mar 1863 BG, but to double check for me as such a common name would you check for me 1864,65,66 in Bethnal Green With many thanks Sarah
