Hi Laurie, Many thanks for the info and I see the lodger is still there plus the other one alleged earlier to be a grandson and whose name is wrongly transcribed anyway ! Can't think what happened to J.W.C. senior - think I tried Free BMD already but will have another look in case I missed it Again, many thanks

Hi Stephen, Here's William: Record Emily F Castle abt 1836 Greenwich Daughter Greenwich Kent View Record Francis E Castle abt 1798 Greenwich Wife Greenwich Kent View Record William J Castle abt 1838 Greenwich Son Greenwich Kent Cant see her husband on the image, however it does have her down as Fishermans wife so he could be out at sea as she is down as married. Hi Michael, Were William and Sarah married? if so this could be them: Record Sarah Ann Crouchman abt 1826 Stepney Green, Middlesex, England Wife Theydon Garnon Essex View Record Thomas Crouchman abt 1833 Laughton, Essex, England Brother Theydon Garnon Essex View Record William Crouchman abt 1821 Thoydon Garnon, Essex, England Head Theydon Garnon Essex There are no Crouchmans down for the area of Essex that you said. There are a few Sarah's and Williams however this William was the only one that was the head of the household. If this is not right then if you have anymore info ie year of birth I might be able to find them from that. Laurie

Hi Laurie, Thanks for looking. My William and Sarah were (as far as I can guess - my only record of William is 1841, which didn't give relationships) brother and sister. Sarah moved out of the area at some point, not sure exactly when, but I was hoping that William would still be around. He'd probably have been about 25-30 then - again, not sure exactly. Awkward bunch, my family - sorry! Thanks, Michael

Hi Laurie, if possible I'd like an 1851 look up please. Ann HARRIS born abt 1831 living in Warwickshire. The name of the place is something like Emscote, Crimscote or Armscote - definitely ending in -cote. Sorry I don't know anything more definite. Thank you!

Hi Elaine, Do you have the exact spelling that was on the 1881, as nothing is coming up on Ancestry for that surname. It might give me an idea of where to start with surname variations. Laurie
