Maureen Very grateful for your kind offer, looking for the parents of these two as listed on their marriage document... William Laws, bn Gateshead 1794 Mary Morrow, baptized Heworth 1802 Not sure when they married but their child was baptized in 1831 also in Heworth, not sure if he was their first, or even how many they had! Thanks in advance, Brenda

Maureen, If I am not too late I wonder if you could check out a birth in the name of William Sanderson Hurdman born approx. 1863 in Sunderland I am sorry that it's so vague but I don't think there are many Hurdman's and any that you find will be the same family. Thanks Julie

Jacqui Report 19 Oct 2005 21:15

Thanks for looking Maureen. Were the parents of the 1831 Margaret John and Margaret? Could be her she was 30 on both the 1851 and 1861! I assumed the 1851 was the correct one as she married 'over age' in 1846. Will have to plan a few days break in Durham sometime so I can go to the RO. Thanks again Jacqui
