i am trying to find out who lived at the address 158 nottingham road sheffield,, the last name should be ethier lewis or underwood, the parliment borough is brightside would be very grateful vikki

Hi Clare, thanks for your kind offer. I am completely desperate for help and have been looking for my elusive ancestor for a long time. His name is John Potter, b 1831 in Pocklington E Yorkshire, to Ellen Potter who, I believe, was unmarried. He turns up in 1871,1881, 1891 and 1901 but not the particular years I would like - 1841 and 1851. I think he was bought up by another member of family and would love to know who. He married Olive Brightwell in 1856 and moved to Heathfield North in Twickenham. Fingers crossed ! Diana

I have a reference but not sure how helpfull that will be This is two of the household and I am curious just to see if there were anyone else with them. Hi Wendy, There is one other person in the household who is a neice but there as a servant. Not a clue what the first name is, looks like Caster to me. Hi Claire - am trying to help 'Just Jenny' find someone in 1851 in Barlby with Hexthorpe but I can't find it in the place index - have you any idea where it is? Have it it 1841 (Selby area) and 1861 (Tickhill) but nothing for 1851. Any ideas? Regards, Sheelagh
