i am trying to find the birth of a lady called Margaret Raeburn in Scotland in 1844. Her fathers name was William Raeburn.She married a man in 1880, in England called Henry Stimpson.It says on her wedding certificate that her father Williams occupation was a lawyer? and still alive in 1880!! if you find any detalis could you please reply to me directly thankyou!! hope you can help Kelly

Hi Dawn, I am looking for the birth of a Mary Elizabeth Miller. On the 1851, 61, 7l and 81 censuses her surname is Houghton and her birth date 1811 but only on the 1861 census is anything other than Scotland offered as her birthplace and here unfortunately only the first three letters are readable as Gla! If you could find parents of any of these I would be forever in your debt. I think James and Margaret's children might have been born in Stonehouse Lanarkshire. Thomas And Agnes both died in Loudon. Hi Dawn, would you please be able to see if you could find a John Ireland, born 1763, Married July 1806, to Janet Christie who was born in 1781. I am sure John was born in St Leonards, Fife and the family didn't move about much then. I don't know the parents of either person and would like to find them. I actually said the children of Thomas (b abt 1791 ,aged 50 in 1841 census) & Sarah McCrossan.( b abt 1804 ,aged 35 in 1841 census). Dawn , I may have asked before but have some other info now. I`m trying to find birth date of my great, great grandmother. - MARY RATTRAY. In her marriage and death parents are ROBERT and ISABEL RATTRAY. Can`t find that one anywhere but there is one with parents JOHN and ELIZABETH in the correct year-about 1842. Could you look in your records please and see if her birth is recorded . This was in St. Vigeans , Forfar. I wonder if JOHN and ELIZ died and ROBT and ISABEL adopted Mary.. Thanks, Rosalyn
