Hi Lesley Great ! Thank you so much for finding Emma Topp and her family - I wanted to trace her in the hope it would lead me to Ellen - yes Ellen is Emma's sister in law. I am having trouble locating Ellen. I found her in the 1891 and 1901 which states her birth as 1859 Kensington. However now I see that her brother Harry was born in Kennington - I have her marriage cert for 1881 Kensington which states her father as George Topp, occupation illegible - could be lawyer but not sure I figured he was born between 1820 and 1835. Sorry this is such a pain but I would love to find her birth and her mother's name and where she was in 1861 and 1871. Anything you can find would be great - many thanks - regards - Trudy

Hi Lesley, Could you please look up Elizabeth Winterbottom on 1861 census in Sheffield, Yorkshire. She was born Stockwith, Lincolnshire c 1809. She may be with her son William as I think her husband Thomas had died by this time. Many thanks, Margaret

Hi Lesley, I am looking for the marriage of Thomas Winterbottom born Birdwell, Yorkshire to Elizabeth ? who was born Stockwith, Lincolnshire, please. They were both born c 1807 and I have what I think is 1st child born 1837, so married before 1837 I think. I have no idea where they married, Yorkshire or Lincolnshire, but in 1851 they were living in Sheffield, Yorkshire with a family of their own. Thank you, Margaret

Hello Lesley, It is me again. I wonder If you can help me find my Grandfather and grandmothers marriage on my Mothers side. My mother was Sarah Evans born 1892 in Aberdare, She married William John Rees in 1912. I know at one time she lived at 6, Llewellyn St, Trecynon, Aberdare. She had one brother that I know of his name was David G. Evans. Her Fathers name was David Evans and her Mothers name was Eleanor Evans nee Davies. They also came from the Trecynon, Aberdare area. I would imagine David was born about 1840-1850s also Eleanor would have been born about the same time. I hope this helps as I know there are hundreds of Evans and Davies in South Wales. ALISON I have had a look for Dorcas's Marriage and can only find the same as you to William Taylor in Blackburn 1909. Ancestry doesnt show a lot of info after about 1910 even though it should show upto 1983. Sorry I cant help with this one Lesley :~(

Hi again Lesley I wondered if you could help me with this one! I need a GRO birth ref for my grandfather Augustus Frederick Hadley born March 2nd (i think) 1911 in Birmingham. His parents died when he was 17 so we don't know anything about them. I know you said there's not much after 1910 but I would really like to order this cert. couldn't find anything anywhere else at moment. But have found poss family on 1901 census.
