March is the quarter she was registered in. If she was born late December, she wouldn't have been registered until January, therefore coming under Jan-Mar 1916.

HI Tracy Sorry can you just confirm something for me All the Names fit I Know Annie had a sister called Marion . But I know that My Husbands Grandmothers Birthday was Xmas Day on your notes it says Mar 1916. She died in 1990 . If this is her then this is great but why would she change her birthday Sorry if Im confusing you Mary

Hi Tracy I am so stupid LOL I gave you her married name not her Maiden Name. so sorry the details are Annie Foster born 25th December 1915/16 Bradford dont know mothers name thats what Im trying to find out but Fathers name was Thorpe Foster. I got her date of Birth from Death Certificate, She was my Husbands Grandmother and am just starting his tree. but his Dad cant remember anything. they never appeared to discuss old family. I do know that her father was awarded an OBE but thats it. Sorry once again for mix up Mary

Hi Tracey, It is so frustrating. You have the right family .. and now I know what the B. stands for - Beaumaris. His mothers maiden name was Beaumont so I had been working on that premise. Wendy, I don't have access to certificates, only their references. If you buy it, it will give an age for both Elizabeth and Thomas. From those, you can work out an approximate year of birth, and then look for a birth record. Have you looked in 1881 for George? It is free to search at familysearch.org
