Lesley Thank you so much for your time and trouble. I feel that at least some of these girls would have married prior to 1837 and as they aren't in the home parish marriage register its a bit of a puzzler. The one you found looks promising - Aston Rowant is one of the places named in the reg.district and it's where the girls' father Robert was born, so if its not his daughter, I am sure it will be a niece or other close relative. Thanks again. nell

Hi Lesley. Yes I had found the 1881 entry, and I do think this is Mary Ann now a widow. Charles had the second christian name of William, so that death entry is not him. When they married it has just full age for him so I don`t know when he was born. They were only married in 1874 and as there are so many Charles Cook`s it won`t be possible to find him, and I know where Mary Ann was in 1871. That is why I hoped to find her in 1891/1901. Pat.

Hi Lesley, Further to your great help yesterday, please could I trouble you again for a search of the Pallots Marriage Index for; James BENN and Hannah, between 1820 and 1822, probably London William ORRIS and ?, 1795-1802, probably Essex William HICKS and Eliza PITCHER or RITCHER, 1825-1829, Somerset area. Any help with any of these 3 would be fantastic, as each line has stalled at present. Thank you so much for your generous efforts. Jeff
