Hi Lorraine, Many thanks for what you have found for me. I have them at last!! I now know that Thomas's parents were still alive in 1841, which now give a date to look for their deaths, and also a possible 'new' daughter that I wasn't aware of! Again, many thanks. Marcus

Hi Lorraine, Wow! This seems to be a huge favour that you're doing so many people. I really appreciate any assistance you can offer in regards to my 'brick wall'. I haven't been able to access the 1841 census for Norfolk, where my gggGrandfather was supposed to have been born. Below is as much info as I have on him. CHRISTMAS LONG:- born Norwich in Norfolk around 1830 and died in 1903 in Sydney, Australia, according to his death certificate. There is a Christmas Long born in Surrey in 1835 on the IGI but this Chirstmas was still in the UK in the 1881 census. My Christmas LONG is buried at Rookwood Cemetery, Sydney. He was either sent or emmigrated to Australia in 1848 perhaps on board the ship “Anna Maria” via Woolwich, UK and arriving in Geelong, Victoria, Australia. I have no details of his parents or siblings. He was a “Cooper” by trade. (Not sure whether this qualification was acquired in UK or after arriving to Australia). Married to Jane GARDNER in 1850 in Melbourne Victoria, Aust. Jane was from Sligo in Ireland and was born around 1835 and died in 1915 in Essendon, Victoria. Jane’s father’s name was James Gardner. It appears she was an orphan on arrival to Australia and arrived on board the “Lady Kennaway” in 1848. They had 12 children in and around Ballarat, Victoria, Australia from 1851 through to 1875. They were Robert LONG married an Elizabeth Turnbull (of Dumfermline, Scotland), Martha LONG died aged over 19, Mary Jane LONG married Henry Edward PINNEY, Matilda LONG married George ROGERS, Charlotte Christina LONG married William Newton CANNON, William James LONG, Isabella Louisa LONG married Alfred Charles BABBAGE, Sarah Ann LONG (dec.), Rachel LONG(dec. at birth), Samuel AlfredLONG married Mary Agnes Fitzgerald, Albert Christopher Christmas LONG (unmarried), Georgina Anna Lavinia LONG married George Percy GRAVE/ GRAVES. I would be extremely grateful for any information in relation to the 1841 Census and Christmas LONG. Once again I think it's a wonderful thing that you are doing Kind Regards, Suzanne.
