I would very much appreciate you looking up James and Elizabeth Harding in Wylye, Wiltshire. James would be about 55 and Elizabeth about 50. I am not sure what family they would have with them - I'm hoping you can tell me. Thank you in advance. Susan

Stephanie

Stephanie Report 21 Apr 2005 15:16

Hi Susan, There is no James 55 and Elizabeth 50 living or born in Wylye. There is a James Harding aged 80 born in Wylie lodging with a family in Hindon. There is a 55 yr old widower James Harding living in Trowbridge with a Harding family. There is also a James aged 34 with wife Elizabeth aged 27 living in Chippenham with their family. Sorry - not an exact match - let me know if you want more info on any of these or if there are any other factors like occupation that I could look for. Stephanie

Thanks Stephanie, they don't fit my information. James wasn't a widower in 1851, they both lived another 20 odd years. I appreciate you checking for them so thoroughly. Thanks again. Susan

Hi Stephanie, A very big thank you for the info on william Watts, with this I can now take the tree back to 1600s. Still not sure abaout Elizabeth. On the 71 census she is born in broad hinton living in aldbourne. on the following ones she is born in aldbourne even when living outside the area. I will have to do some more hunting. Again many many thanks. Julie.
