SARAH sorry, but there is nothing showing on ancestry for Luke Handley - the only BMD details available are the same as freeBMD up to 1983 (but only transcribed so far up to about 1910 anyway, and not complete), or death details after 1984. It looks like Luke falls between the two available dates, so isn't showing on the information I can access. Sorry I can't be more help Sarah

LYNN No sign of John on 1861, at least not with the birthplace Cuckfield. Found these 3 John Stoners born elsewhere: John Stoner 1843 Lancaster, Lancashire, England Partner Lancaster Lancashire John Stoner 1842 Ditchling, Sussex, England Son Ditchling Sussex John Stoner 1844 Southwark, Sussex, England Son Southwick Sussex (for the first one 'partner' actually says 'patient' on the image...bad transcription) The census will not give details of Mary Ann's maiden name - you wil need to obtain the marriage certificate for that.

Hi THis is an extra thank you for the Rogers info! My mother in law who is 86 was able to confirm that this is the right family and she remembered that William and his son Frederick, her father did sing in various choirs, hence the pro singer bit. Thank you again. Chris

Sarah, Thank you for the Wilkinson look up, don`t think that is them, they would have been in London in 1861 not Yorkshire. Anyway could you please look in 1871 for George Frost born c1850 in Mendham Suffolk, might be with parent Dennis & Phebe/Pheobe Frost. There was also a daughter Elizabeth Frost born c1847 also in Mendham. Many thanks. Pat.

ROD its definitely no.11, and I think it says something like Incend Street, London. It appears to be a public house or similar - the head, Frank Minty, is a licensed victualler, and your Robert Bolam is a Barman.
