CHRISTINE according to Ancestry the census is complete, but I think there are alot of errors and mistranscriptions. Maybe you could post a request for a look-up from someone who has the correct disk - you may have better luck.

Hi Sarah Thanks for doing that look up but unfortunately that isn't the family i am looking for. Both these men have left home and may even be married. Their parents names are William and Ann Gray. I have these two on the 61 but the boys are not with them. The Hatfield i am interested in is in Yorkshire nr Doncaster. Thanks again Jane

Hi Sarah Thanks for looking again. Its like looking for a needle in a hay stack. I have no idea which if any of the John's are mine. John L is not as he is a son so he would be living at home and my JOhn has left home. Don't know about the others William. C is a possible as i do have relatives in Rawcliffe at this time. As for the other Williams the IGI says that William was baptised on 21st JUly 1838 so the one in Leeds is also a possability. Thanks for your help Jane

Wow Sarah , The first looks definate!!!!!! Can you tell me what was Henry's job? The second although she was a widow two of her children were missing from the one that you found. I know they survied from later census Sophia & Alfred, so not sure about that one . Thankyou so much for the lookups the Gibbs certainly gives me something to work on now for other census. Will now try and see if they are on the 1851 & 1871. Best wishes and much gratitude Jenny

JENNY Henry senior is 'Labourer or Contractor' Henry junior is 'Labourer in Victualling Yard' (something to do with the pub trade I would imagine)

Jenny

Jenny Report 1 May 2005 15:04

Thanks for job info Sarah another of my rellies worked in that Victualling yard as a Cooper (barrel Maker) so your right. Actually thinking about it he married one of the Gibbs girls so probably worked with Henry jnr or senior and met her that way. Wow thats a great discovery!!! Thanks Jenny

MARGARET what family are with him in 1891? There are 15 Charles Reeves born in Birmingham, but none of the right age, and a number of possibles of the right age but wrong place of birth - if you have some additional names I can narrow it down

Sarah

Sarah Report 1 May 2005 17:37

BARBARA sorry but your original message no longer appears to be here - can you tell me again what you want me to look for Thanks sarah

Sarah

Sarah Report 1 May 2005 17:52

BARBARA sorry - I'm not going to be able to find anything...the most recent census I can access is 1901, so Leslie won't show on there. As for older brothers and sisters, without dates of birth or approximate ages there is no way of knowing if they will even be on the 1901. There are 14,661 Jones's on the 1901 census, with the keyword Liverpool. Have you ordered the birth cert for Leslie? That will show his parents names, and mother's maiden surname.

Sarah

Sarah Report 1 May 2005 17:57

MARGARET sorry - forgot to put this on the last message, The addres for the Pearsons is: 2 BK 51 St Pauls Road, Balsall Heath, Birmingham (looks like BK means block or back...there is a no51, and then four others numbered ..BK51 If you send me your email address I can send you the image - it may be easier than me trying to describe it! lol If Charles Reeves is not with his family in 1901, that does help to narrow it down...means I can disregard any that come up as 'son' - I'll have another look. OK - here are a couple of possibles for Charles: Charles Reeves 27 Birmingham, Warwickshire, England Head Yardley Warwickshire (I think the age is transcribed wrong...looks more like 21 or 24) Lucy Reeves 20 Tipton, Staffordshire, England Wife Yardley Warwickshire Rose Collins 13 Bristol Sister-in-law Bristol Gloucestershire Charles Reeves 24 Not Stated Head Bristol Gloucestershire Emily Reeves 23 Bristol Wife Bristol Gloucestershire Reginald Richmond 3 Bristol Son Bristol Gloucestershire
