Hi, How very kind to offer your help, I pray that perhaps you may be able to answer a question for me, when you have time, thank you. My gt gt grandmother EUPHEMIA NELSON daughter of George Nelson, married John Grant in 1841. I would love to know details of her Christening if possible I can only calculate her year of birth based on the census information, according to the 1881 census for Edinburgh, St Cuthberts, she was age 60. Must also mention that when she remarried as a widow) her maiden name was given as Neilson instead of Nelson, so I am left unsure as to her correct surname. I do have a copy of the parish document of the marriage (obtained this from Edinburgh) and her name is given as Nelson, her father George, at the time of the marriage they were living at India Place, Parish of St Stephen I do not know the name of her mother, would this have been given when she was Christened? She married John Grant of North MelvillePlace, Parish of Dean, His father or mother`s name are not stated on the parish marriage document. I would be so happy if you can provide any info, thank you Maud Jarvis
