Hello Sheila, many thanks for the offer to look up for all concerned. Would like any information you may be able to find on my gt grandfather Seaton Porter, who was born in Udny, Aberdeen. I know his date of birth/death as in his obituary it was stated that he died on his birthday . He died in New Zealand on 9 June 1918, which makes his date of birth 1839. The Mystery is - on both his marriage and death certificates it states his mother is Mary Sangster, but I can only find a marriage for his father Rose Porter to a Mary Simpson in Old Machar, Aberdeen in June 1845. I already have info on Seatons marriage and the birth of the four children born in Scotland. I also have certificate of death for Rose Porter. By the way...how would Rose be pronounced? As in the flower, or is there a variation? many thanks for what ever you information you are able to supply Regards Brigitte
