Deborah, Thanks for the offer. Could you have a look on the 1851 Warwickshire census for Eliza Merritt (or perhaps Merrick) who would have been about 28 at this time and perhaps living in Birmingham. Sorry it's a bit vague but all I have. Many thanks in advance

Sorry, Amelia was baptised in Exeter 1825 and James was of a similar age I believe. Sorry its so vague, not very helpful for you. On 1871 census their ages were, Amelia 67 and James 69 but I have my doubts about the accuracy of that. Thanks Louisex

JUNE I found an entry on 51 census showing him as a servant for John Tucker and living at Skiners Cottage, Honiton census place Gittisham, Honiton. this is from the 81 census........... MANFIELD Son U Male 9 Axminster, Devon, England Scholar Dwelling Smallridge Census Place Axminster, Devon, England Family History Library Film 1341513 Public Records Office Reference RG11 Piece / Folio 2127 / 57 Page Number 8 I also found a Robert Manfield aged 30yrs, carpenter from Stockland with wife Anna and children in Honiton on 51 census.
