HI Nicola, I am looking for any male/females by the surname of Gomer living in Plymouth in 1851. I don't have any concrete evidence on any christian names I'm afraid. I have managed to trace later entries for an Alfred and an Alice Gomer but this was a little later than 1851. It may be too much trouble - if so then don't worry. Thanks Lisa

Rebecca Report 7 Feb 2005 18:01

Hi Nicola, Thankyou for your kind offer, is the warwickshire 1851 census indexed? If so I'd be gratefull of a look up as I only have limited information. Looking for George Troth and wife Anne, I am unsure of their ages or place of birth all i know is they were married in Harborne Staffs in 1823.(with consent of parents so think they were not 21yrs at time) They are believed to be in the Birmingham area about 1830's. Could also be in the Berkswell area. Many thanks for any help best wishes Becky

nic87 Report 7 Feb 2005 21:14

Hi Becky, I'm afraid i couldn't find a George and Anne Troth together anywhere on the census. There was one Anne but she was aged 15, a bit young to be the one you are looking for I think! Sorry, Nicola

hello again Nicola can you please look up Joseph Ruscoe b1842 in Moreton say / Market Drayton on 1851 census probably still living in Shropshire. Many many thanks Barbara

nic87

nic87 Report 8 Feb 2005 21:14

Hi Barbara, There is only one Ruscoe on the census, and the first name is William. If you think Joseph was in Shropshire in 1851, how about adding a request on the boards for a Shropshire look up?Some one might have the CD for it,with a bit of luck, if it's available. Good Luck, Nicola
