Hi Nicola could you possible look up a Charles and Elizabeth James Great Torrington Devon in 1851 census. We know they had at least 1 son called John James born 1844 thanks yours gratefully Cherry

Hi Nicola, thanks for looking,I have seen birth registry for Charles Satchell Upward in Lutterworth,but according to cen suses he was born in Pailton or Cumbey,as he is only husband of one of my ancestors sisters I dont want to pay for cert..I checked bmd on ancestry and his birth is on there ,but there are no other Upwards,born in same area., Regards, John

Thanks for your offer Nicola I am looking for George Vaughan born in Luppitt, Devon, in 1834 or a year either way. His mother was Emily Vaughan listed in parish records as spinster. Were they still in Devon in 1851 and did George have any siblings please.

Is it possible for you to see if there are any Blackmans in Weston Market, Devon. I have 1901 census info. saying Ernest Blackman was born here in 1860 and wondered if there were any more in this location in 1851. Don't worry if it is too much for you.
