Does your 1851 cover Northumberland (ie Berwick upon Tweed?). If it does I would be really grateful if you could do a lookup please. I'm looking for a John Hope, wife Margaret and daughter Barbara Hope aged about 20. Barbara may have married her 1st husband by then John McLaren who was a soldier. She married her 2nd husband in 1861 in Edinburgh. I'm having great trouble with this line so any help you can give me would be most appreciated.

Hi Sarah, Still nothing. Looked on 1851 but nothing for the area Mark. Did have a quick look through Minehead and there are quite a few Webber's there but nothing that matches. The same John as before is there but no Grace or George. Laurie

Thanks for the info on Eliza. I'm hoping Mabel Barnett isn't married - she could give a vital link to another marriage after 1901. Her parents were James and Emma Barnett of Hargrave Northants. I did wonder whether she disappeared to Leominster area in service for a while but I could be miles out. Mabel (or Mary Ann) Ward was daughter of Frederick and Alice M Ward also of Hargrave Northants but thats as much as I know I'm afraid. Mary

Flixton Farm Labourer Dinah Greenley Wife M 81 b. Flixton Dwelling: Main Street, Flixton George has made himself 10 years younger on this census and Dinahs birthplace should be Hutton Cranswick. Joseph Greenley b. Flixton c1810 and his wife Elizabeth b. Lowthorpe c1810. They could be living in North Burton. Thankyou very much Jeanette

Hmmm - not sure that's the one - I got details from Parish Registers for John, christened in Mark, Somerset in 1830, s.o. George and Grace....although it is possible he was born elsewhere, it's more likely to be a connection from another line (George did have a brother called John too, but he married Ann in 1832) Probably doesn't help that my rellies recycled names like I recycle newspapers! lol

Hi laurie after failing bady to find anything for Selina and James Finch Ive decided to leave that line for now - but thanks so much for trying. I'm sure they will turn up somewhere, but my head hurts from banging it on that particular brick wall. Any chance you could do another search for me? I'm looking for George WEBBER b.1808, and his Wife Grace b.1809 (approx dates only) I know they had at least 2 children (John 1830ish and Henry 1836ish) - the only grandchild I have is Frederick b.1849 - these were all in or around Mark in Somerset. I've got details after 1881, and before 1800, but if you can find anything around 1851 I will be able to tie them in together properly. (1871 would be a huge help too) Thanks again for all you help so far sarah
