Hi Laurie I know it's a bit of a long shot but could you please look up the 1851 census for James & Elizabeth Brady in either Nottingham (possibly St Mary) or York. Their son James was born in 1853 in Nottingham but I have also found a William Brady born around 1850 in Masboro, York who I believe may also be their son. I know Elizabeth's maiden name was Quillon and she had a sister Margaret. I don't know when they were married but I know they were born in Ireland he around 1819 and she around 1823. I would be grateful for any information you could find. Thank you for your kind offer. Chris.

Hi Gloria, No they didn't make much mess for a change. It was a great day I'm was just well and truly worn out. Back to normal now. Laurie

Hi Laurie Thanks for looking for my Brady's, I am not having much luck with the marriage index so far either and am just hoping they married in England and not in Ireland. They must have lived somewhere else in between 1850 when William was born in York and 1853 when James was born in Nottingham. Thanks again. Christine Barrett.

Hi Laurie very kind of you to offer look ups. Can I ask for Stonemans in Chagford Devon in 1871? Particularly John & Eliza; George and Sarah; Also can you get Cumberland on 1871? If so would be really grateful for look up of John & Sarah Robinson with son Gerard J B Robinson. If it is not too much trouble would you email me back direct otherwise I might miss the answer as I work away quite a lot and should hate to miss any vital clue! regards Trish

Hi Louise, What you need is your Grandad's full name which will be on your parents marriage cert. It will have the name of both fathers. If you can't get that then it will be a bit harder. Do you have your mothers birth cert which will have her parents names inc maiden name? If not do you know when and where either of your grandparents died. You can email me direct and I'll give you as much help as I can. Laurie

Hi Lisa Evans, Sorry I knew I had to have missed someone. The census for Montgomeryshire is very partial and does not include that area. I did look in the areas that I have but nothing. Sorry again that I missed you out. Laurie
