Zena Report 11 Jul 2004 11:34

Would like a look up for Elliott's of South Shields Durham. A Elizabeth Elliott and brother John, b 1865, 1866. Any Elliotts of South Shields, thanks Zena

Lisa Report 11 Jul 2004 13:46

Hello - you've already done one lookup for me but I thought I would push my luck and ask for another - hope that's OK. I'm hoping you can find my HARRISON family in Kyo,for the 1851 census. Margaret should be just 1 year old and Mary Ann should be 5 years old. Their father is John, a coal miner. I have no idea how old he would be. Here's hoping! Lisa

Sharon Report 11 Jul 2004 13:53

Hello Linda, I'm new to this so please bear with me. I need to find out about James Mulholland born 1871c lived in Monkton Rd, Jarrow at time of 1901 census, how about prior to this ? Also George Bell born 1873c again at time of 1901 census lived at Lime Street Jarrow. If poss I would like to know where they lived as children and who their parents were. Is this a tall order ? I live in hope and thank you for your kind offer. Sharon Faux.

Thanks Linda, Thanks Linda. At this stage, I dont have a street or area of Shields, but will keep you in mind when I have more information. What census was the above for? I have Elizabeth Elliott (a new link for our family tree). She was mentioned as a grand niece, the informant on a death certificate in 1891, age 35 years. Now trying to find who she is and who she belongs to.

Linda Report 12 Jul 2004 06:54

Sorry, I didn't say, it was 1871. I'm trying to do my own 'index' to make searching easier, so if I come across them, I'll let you know Linda

Linda Report 29 Jul 2004 08:20

still available

Kay Report 29 Jul 2004 08:49

Hi Linda Could you look for a family of Murrays living at Jeffreys Rake in Hunstanworth in 1841 (I believe it comes under Stanhope & Weardale area) They were there from 1851 - 1881 so hopefully they'll be there before that as well. Kay

Linda Report 30 Jul 2004 06:34

There are 2 lots of Murray living at Jeffrey’s Rake, Hunstanworth; I don’t know if you know but ages after 15 were “rounded down” to the nearest 5 in 1841. So a 23 year old would be listed as 20 for example. Name age occ. Born in county Adam Murray 40 lead miner N Betty Murray 35 Y Joseph Murray 7 Y John Murray 3 Y Adam Murray 1 Y Jane Graham 70 N Jane Murray 40 Y Joseph Murray 21 lead miner Y Jane Murray 7 Y Isaac Bell 25 N Hope these are the ones you are looking for Linda

Kay Report 30 Jul 2004 09:30

Susan Report 1 Aug 2004 09:44

Linda. Is it too little information to ask if you can find any KERR'S in Whickham. On 1871 census. Sorry no address but hopefully it was only a small town then. Many thanks SUE.

Linda Report 5 Aug 2004 07:31

Margaret, have looked in William Street and in Hebburn Village without success. The area covers hundreds of pages but if I come across them, I will let you know. Linda

Linda Report 5 Aug 2004 07:36

Sue - no Kerrs in Whickham itself, they may have lived in Ryton, Crawcrook or any surrounding area. Sorry I couldn't help Linda

Angela Report 5 Aug 2004 08:51

Diane Report 9 Aug 2004 23:14

Dear Linda, Would it be possible for you to look up a John Coates Littlefair in the 1851 census he was born in Witton-le-Wear around 1844/45. I wanted to find out who his parents and siblings were. He married in 1868 to a Frances Defty. I would be very grateful if you could find anything of this family in 1851. Best wishes Diane.................
