Hi Penny - I wonder if you could tell me who was living at 30 Jefferson Street, Bromley By Bow in 1861. I think it comes under Bromley St. Leonards Parliamentary Borough of Tower Hamlets. Hopefully it will be someone by the name of Berry. Cheers and thanks.....Doreen Berry.

Hello Penny. Can you help me with this family in 1861 please? I don't have the address, but they should be in Poplar. George Anderson, aged app 62 - waterman; Mary Anderson, aged app 58 (if still alive). Various children, these should still be at home; Robert aged 15, Alfred aged 17 and John aged 18. Thanks Helen

Hi Penny, thank you for looking for me. I have a possible address in 1850 of George St, Millwall, and I know from the 1871 & 1881 census that members of the family were in Evans St and Garford St. Its a big gap. I think I'll have to try and trace some of the kids marriages and Mary's death, for an address. I'm desperately trying to find George's place of birth. Have it on the 1881 census, but the place doesn't exist! Thanks again Helen

Hi Penny, Could you look up Thomas Faldo and wife Sarah for me. I have an address he was at in 1850 - 2 Percy Villas, South Lambeth. Another address is 13 Gillams Court, Rotherhithe - Thomas's daughter Sarah living there in 1871. Also 11 Lewellyn Grove, New Chuch Street which I think is in Bermondsey - address in 1873 of son George. Any help appreciated. Thanks Maggie

Penny, Back again for my Hodson family if thats okay. Henry Hodson would be 38/39 - poss. born Dublin. I now know his wife is Henrietta Hodson - calculating from the 1871 she would be 39. Other children are Henrietta Hodson born c1840 and Laura Hodson c.1850 All bits crossed in hope of a happy result ;o) Zoe

Hi Penny, Thanks for the offer to do look ups. I would be very grateful if you could check the 1861 index to see if there is an Albert HODGES, aged between 16 - 20, living in Camden Town. Many thanks. Penny

Hi Penny, Wonder if you might be able to find someone for me!! Looking for a John Blackmore, his wife Mary Ann. They were married in St Pancras Church 29 August 1858 and he gives his address as Exeter Street (that's what it looks like to me!) I can't really decipher her address, looks almost like Hetherset Street!!. I know by the 1871 Census they were living in the same area, I think it reads Malden Street with 5 children and still in the same area at Haverstock Street in 1881. Would really appreciate it, if it's not enough to go on I apologise, but thought it might be worth a try. By the way his age on the 1871 is 55 and hers is 33, so they're going to be approx. 44/45/46 and 22/23/24 depending on what time of year the census was done. They also had their first son by then, another John Blackmore because he is 12 in 1871 and maybe an infant, Henry Many thanks, Sheryl
