Hi Tracy Could you look for a John Maggs please. He'd be approx. 13 in 1851 and was born in Temple Cloud, Somerset. Someone else has already looked at Somerset in 1851 but he doesn't appear to be there but the borders seem to change over the years and wondered if he's in a surrounding county. In 1871 (when married ) he was in Bedminster (Bristol/Somerset). I'd be grateful for any information you can provide. Thanks Lorraine

Thanks for the look up Tracy. I'll have to do a bit more digging until to clarify if any of these fits. On the other census I have his birthplace has always been written as Temple Cloud rather than Paulton etc. Thanks again Lorraine

Hello Tracy Many thanks for your offer of a look-up. I have a John CARTER born Bredon (or Kinsham) Worcs would be 42 or 43 in 1851 (born in 1808). Could be anywhere in South Worcs or even Gloucestershire. Have been looking for him for ages. Would be so grateful if you could help. His occupation could be something to do with stone masons or bricklaying. On the other hand, he could be a labourer! Barbara
