Barbara, I can't tell which house is 35, but neither name appears anywhere in the street. Rick.

Glynis, William Stillwell,45,weaver Ann,40 Richard,15 Charles,13 George,9 Thomas,7 Ann,4 William,2 All born in the county. Rick.

Georgina, Don't suppose you have a house number do you ? Searching the whole of the Strand would take hours. Although the houses are not numbered, the index says which CD each block of numbers is on so it would narrow the search down to something manageable. Rick.

Lesley, William Rowley,40,baker Charlotte,20 Mary,7 Charlotte,4 Elizabeth,5 months All born in the county. Rick.

Hi Rick Thanks for look-up for CARTER/TILLING. Just an afterthought: there wasn't a SIMPSON at that address was there? Sorry to be a pain that I didn't think of it before, but many thanks for your help. Barbara

St Martin in Fields. Hi Rick, Please can you look up who is living at 107 St Martin's Lane. I'm hoping it include someone with the surname GOSDEN. Thanks very much, Jo (Canada)

Rick Report 23 Jul 2004 13:38

Barbara, No Simpsons either. Rick.

Rick Report 23 Jul 2004 13:39

Jo, There are no Gosden's at that address. Sorry, Rick.

Tiamo Report 23 Jul 2004 14:59

Hi, Rick, Could you help me again, please. Looking for residents of 10, Orange Street - I presume this is Newington as it appears on a wedding certificate in 1839. I am looking for a very elusive James Quinton with wife Elizabeth. Thanks. Tricia

Barbara Report 23 Jul 2004 15:11

Rick Thanks for the CARTER/TILLING/SIMPSON look-ups - and your patience. Barbara

Rick Report 23 Jul 2004 17:05

Tricia, There are a few Orange Streets, but I think the one in St Saviour would be the closest t Newington. No sign of any Quintons in the streeet though. Rick.

Tiamo Report 23 Jul 2004 19:54

OH, NOOOOOO - I just don't believe it!!!!!!!! Thanks for looking, Rick - somebody up there doesn't want to be found. Didn't they move around alot. I will find them, I WILL! Why does London have to be so difficult. Many thanks, Best wishes, Tricia

Jo Report 24 Jul 2004 01:53

Thank-you for looking, Rick, Jo

Sheila Report 24 Jul 2004 20:55

Looking for any info on Joseph Henry Loader, his wife Elizabeth Hannah Loader, William b.1820, Hannah b.1828, Joseph b.1828. The children were all born in St Leonards Shoreditch. An older daughter Elizabeth b. 1818 was married in 1839 to George Cordaroy. Her address at time of marriage was Tabernacle Walk, and they married in the district of Shoreditch. Not sure if this was the family address. Thanks for your time. Sheila

Angela Report 25 Jul 2004 13:45

Hi Rick Can you check 37 Corner, Bethnal Green, Green District for me please? The following family were living there on the 1851 census and I was wondering if they were there in 1841. 1851 census= KAVANNAH William H Mar 56 Labourer Dock Som. Bath KAVANNAH Sarah Wife Mar 56 St. George KAVANNAH Harriet Dau U 20 Waistcoat Maker Mdx. Bethnal Green Thanks for your help. Regards Angela

Rick Report 25 Jul 2004 15:10

Sheila, There is a Loader family in Tabernacle Walk, but not the one you're looking for. Maybe they are related ? Edward,65,timber merchant Sarah,65 James,30,assistant Isabella,20 Ellen,20 Eliza Sharp,20,female servant All born in the county. Rick.

Rick Report 25 Jul 2004 15:11

Angela, Nothing in the index for that address in Bethanl Green. Are you sure that's the complete address ? Rick.

Angela Report 25 Jul 2004 18:33

Hi Rick Thanks for looking, I also thought the address looked suspect but that is how it is written on the 1851 census. There are other Kavanahs living at the following addresses which were related, can you please check them? 1 Reform Place, Shoreditch, Holywell or Moorfields 5 Carlton Place, Bethnal Green, 37 Queens Head, Bethnal Green (This also looks suspect, looks like a pub rather than a road name)? Any help will be gratefully received. Regards Angela
