Jenny No Susannah Bowers on 1891 as she would have been 83 there is a good chance that she had died by then although I can't find any record of that on Ancestry or Free BMD , the nearest I get is a death of a Susannah Bowers in 1872 in Southwark aged 68 ! Cheers Michelle

HI There My g.g.g.g.grandfather was born in ramsgate kent in 1840 and married a woman called susan, no surname yet... she was born in 1847 in Limehouse. I was given a tip to the name stannard, checked it out and there was a susan stannard, born in poplar which is close to Limehouse. My 4xG.grandfather was called Edwin Thomas Blackburn and they had three children, Susan, Rachael and Edward Stannnard Blackburn. Can you do a look up for me and see if you could find the maiden name of my G.G.G.G grandmother, I think she died in 1877 in Eastbourne.... I'd be ever so greatful! Mike :-)

Tracy See what you think Marriages Sep 1890 Adcroft Mary Blackburn 8e 684 TAYLOR Betsy Ann Blackburn 8e 684 Townsend William Blackburn 8e 684 Watson Richard Edward Blackburn 8e 684 Blackburn Created 1st July 1837. Sub-districts : Billington; Blackburn; Blackburn Northern; Blackburn South Eastern; Blackburn South Western; Darwen; Hawwood; Mellor; Oswaldtwistle; Witton. GRO volumes : XXI (1837-51); 8e (1852-1930). Billington, Blackburn, Church, Clayton le Dale, Clayton le Moors, Darwen, Dinckley, Eccleshill, Great Harwood, Little Harwood, Livesey, Lower Darwen, Mellor, Osbaldeston, Oswaldtwistle, Over Darwen, Pleasington, Ramsgreave, Rishton, Salesbury, Tockholes, Wilpshire, Witton, Yate and Pickup Bank. Assuming that her maiden name was Adcroft I then looked on the 1881 census to put them both in the same place, and the 1891 said that she was born in Darwen as well. It might not be the right one but it looks worth considering. 1881 CENSUS Dwelling: 11 Lorne St Census Place: Over Darwen, Lancashire, England Source: FHL Film 1342007 PRO Ref RG11 Piece 4205 Folio 73 Page 11 Marr Age Sex Birthplace James GIBSON M 38 M Manchester, Lancashire, England Rel: Head Occ: Coal Miner Unemp Judith GIBSON M 36 F Over Darwen, Lancashire, England Rel: Wife Occ: Housekeeper Robert Light GIBSON U 10 M Over Darwen, Lancashire, England Rel: Son Occ: Scholar Susannah GIBSON U 8 F Over Darwen, Lancashire, England Rel: Dau Occ: Scholar Mary GIBSON U 8 F Over Darwen, Lancashire, England Rel: Dau Occ: Scholar Alice Jane GIBSON U 5 F Over Darwen, Lancashire, England Rel: Dau John GIBSON U 3 M Over Darwen, Lancashire, England Rel: Son James GIBSON U 1 M Over Darwen, Lancashire, England Rel: Son Ann ADCROFT U 13 F Over Darwen, Lancashire, England Rel: Niece Occ: Cotton Weaver Mary ADCROFT U 12 F Over Darwen, Lancashire, England Rel: Niece Occ: Cotton Weaver Dwelling: 232 Duckworth St Census Place: Over Darwen, Lancashire, England Source: FHL Film 1342007 PRO Ref RG11 Piece 4204 Folio 94 Page 2 Marr Age Sex Birthplace John WATSON M 48 M Brindle, Lancashire, England Rel: Head Occ: Black Smith Jane WATSON M 46 F Whittlewoods, Lancashire, England Rel: Wife John J.
