If you're still doing lookups Sally, could you please find the following woman, and anyone else in her household? Amelia Groom age 68, born Northampton, the census civil parish will be Greenwich and I know her occupation is Charwoman in 1901. I don't know her address at the time. In the 1881 census Amelia Groom was part of the following household: Thomas Groom Head, 58, Iron Ship Builder, b. Lincoln Amelia Groom Wife, 47, b. Northampton Robert Groom Son, 14, b. Greenwich Charlotte Groom Dau, 10, Greenwich Alice Groom Dau, 9, Greenwich. Address 21 Lamb Lane Greenwich. I do know that the daughter Alice Groom was married by 1901 and I have the 1901 census details for her. I don't know much about what would have happened to the rest of her family after 1881 though. My mother belives that Thomas and Amelia Groom had a large family and some other possible sibling names might be Doll (Dorothy or Doris?), Florence, Fay, Daisy and John. If Amelia Groom is living with any relatives those names might come up in her household. I think Amelia was very likely a widow by 1901. Thanks, Lorraine

Hi Sally I am seeking any Fairey/Fairy names around Lambeth. The 1st wife of John Fairy born in Connington died and he went back to Connington to live. He seems to have left some of the older children in Lambeth - all born Lambeth. John George Fairy bn <1872> Annie Fairy bn < 1874> Elizabeth Fairy bn < 1876> Sarah Fairy bn <1877> I'd be very grateful if you could track them in 1901. REgards Marlene

Hi Sally Thank you for the info on the workhouse in Clapham, I will note the details but think it is unlikely - some siblings were at home. I never thought of NK as being North Kensington, I always presumed it to be 'Not Known' - I am going to put a message on the other board and ask for opinions! He was definitely a Henry. Thanks for the offer of the 1891 - I have that census and have found the famiily. Thanks so much for looking If you could get me the details of half sisters please? They were in Barnados in Aston Tiroll near wallingford Berks on 1901 decoder, Emily and Eva Peach, aged 11 and 9. Perhpas just the census reference number so I can get a hard copy and the address of the institution? Thanks again Sylvie Sylvie
