Hello Debra, I would be grateful if you could look up the following for me:- Glamorgan 1861 Census William and Hannah Griffiths aged about 44 children I know of are Ann and Caradog,will be both about 18 (twins I think),and Sarah who would be about 16.Don't know if there are any others. In the 1871 Census please could you look up Thomas and Ann Samuel(the above Ann is now married).She would be about 28.They are probably in Dowlais,Glamorgan. Thomas had died by 1881 and I don't know where he was born,hopefully I could find out from this.The children I have are: George William Edwin Pauline and William.In the 1881 census William is down as being born in Darlington,Co Durham so you may find them in that area. I was wondering if you could look for this family in the 1991 census as well. Your help is much appreciated, Wendy Lynch

Deb, Since getting the census information from you I've been able to track down Caradoc Griffiths in the 1881 census.He was Caradog in the 1851 and couldn't find him.I even found out he was the first minister for a Baptist Church in Dowlais and served for 34 years.I have emailed the church with the hope they have more information about him.It just shows what you can do with a bit more information!
