Hi Lynda, 37 Montpelier Terrace, Kensington Looking at the A-Z map there is Montpelier Walk, Montpelier Square, and Montpelier S? and possibly a Montpelier Place all bunched very closely together in SW7. Could be off one of these. Just had a look on Streetmap - its at the top of Montpelier Walk and next to Montpelier Square. Many thanks, Kathy

Hi Lynda Could you please lookup who was at 3 mulberry st, Mile End. I have been told by a cousin that has my gt gt grandads birth certificate that he was born there in 1864 with parents John and Rebecca Ringrow. I am having real trouble tracing them as they seem to move around a lot and remarry a few times. The address she actually gave me was mulberry place, but i have looked that up and is in wrong part of london. I looked on a victorian steet index and it said that mulberry street was in mile end so it must be the one. Thanks for your help Sharon

Hi Lynda, It's Dawn again. I have been looking through my 1881 census to see if I could find street names. I found alot od soldiers and their families living in the Bks there. It didn't have a street, however my Ggran was born according to her birth cert in Sandy Hill, the next st was Brock Hill another was Artillary place or Ordnance rd. I don't know if th 1871 just had Bks like the 1881 but their are 2 RHA bks the Royal Art Bks and the red and cambridge art Bks. As I said there were families living in them but no streets. The name again George Greener wife Maryann 3 children. Anyway if it's too involved don't worry. I've a feeling this will be my lifetime project!! he just doesn't want to be found!! Just out of interest I have a very good friend by the name of Jenny Pace[now Garton] our father's were in the army together so we go back along way. Her father was RSM Ray Pace. She told her surname had been anglicised as an ancestor had come over from Italy and it was pronounced Pache. She has 9 siblings 6 brothers 2 sisters. Many thanks yet again Dawn Hurst

Hi Lynda, Thanks for having a look. I'll see if I can get the census, I think I'll have to have another serious go after Christmas. I know they usually have 2/3 films for each census sometimes, so could you possibly give me some numbers and/or area. I have just checked on the FH site and there are 5 films for Woolwich!! 2 for the dockyard and 3 for woolwich arsenal. Yhey have RG numbers so if you have one for that area you were looking at I'd be much obliged. I love Italy too and was in Malta for 18mths when my father was stationed there and the first place we lived was Paceville Many thanks once again Dawn
