Sarah - I presume from the other requests and answers that you can do name searches??? Wonderful if you can! I am desperate to find the following people on the 1871 census - they would be around the Paddington/Kentish Town/St Pancras area... Richard Whiddington aged 51 Tailor Pamelia Ann Whiddington aged 53 (but called Ann on '81, Francilla (?) on '91 and Pamela on her death cert!!!) born in Monmouth Possible children - Alice, Edward, Sarah, Eleanor. The surname (and first names) are liable to be misspelt. In 1881 they were living at 114 Weedington Road, Kentish Town but they weren't there in 1871 as I've looked at the census at the FRO. I really need Richard's place of birth to solve a mystery! Many thanks Helen

Hi Sarah, what a kind offer! If you are not too fed up yet, can I ask you to look for any DONATI family, possibly Islington area, although Holburn was another fave haunt! There are the usual mispells, such as DONATTI and DONATTY, I'm afraid, but anything you find will be useful! Thank you again, Steph

Hi Sarah, Are there any HANHARTs listed in the index? It's a foreign name (Swiss, I believe), so there ought to be only a handful of names listed, if there are any there. I know you listed the areas covered at the start of the thread, and presumably the answer to this question is no, but is any of Hampstead covered in the index? I'm guessing that what you've listed is all you get. Thanks in advance, Andy.

Hello again Sarah, sorry to cause you confusion on the look-up I asked for, the husband is edward James Vanner and his wife is Eliza Vanner. I didn't realize until I went back to it that just putting Edward James down it could be taken as a surname,Grovelling apologies, Tony, by the way it was Bethnal Green I was asking about. Thanks for your trouble.
