Hi Ray, its no trouble.

I have looked at the marriages for 1808 and prior (there are about 50 John Burtons on the CD and a fair few married to an Ann(e).)

If you are sure of the year, here they are:

Ann(e) Girling 15/8/1801 Weston Longville

Ann(e) Shinn 12/11/1804 Gt Massingham

Ann(e) Middleton 30/9/1807 Newton by Casle Acre.

but this may be the one you are looking for as it is the only one in 1808:

Ann(e) Man 17/5/1808 Aylmerton.

Let me know if you want any other years.

Cheryl

As far as I know Outwell is Norfolk.

Can I ask what your CD covers in Norfolk and Suffolk as I wasn't aware there were other transcripts.

Thanks
Dee

Hi Denise

Thank you for that, Outwell seems to change between Cambridgeshire and Norfolk.

The CD I bought is English Parish records - Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk from 1538 to 1837 costing £28.75, but I think it is only a selection, as I can't find Outwell.

Only got it last Thursday, and as I work full-time haven't had a much chance to explore properly.

best wishes and many thanks

Cheryl

Nicholas

Sorry but there are no marriages between James Hunt & Sophia Love in Norfolk between 1801 and 1837

There was a marriage of Sophia Bowden 3/11/1827 in Attleborough which is just a few miles out of Norwich.

If I can help any more. Please get back to me.

Thank you for your kind offer.
Is there a Samuel Westhorpe (sometimes Westrupp or Westrop) that married Maria Carter about 1825 possibly in the Great Ellingham area?
Thanks.

♥Deetortrainingnewfys♥ Report 10 Dec 2007 15:19

Annette

Found it:

Samuel Westthorpe (with double t) to Maria Carter 24/12/1826 at Shelton.

also

John Westrup & Mary Bass 19/2/1821 Gt Yarmouth

John Westrup & Martha Haws 12/4/1827 Ellingham

Richard Westthorp & Mary Fyson 29/10/1801 Gt Yarmouth

There are no other marriages in Shelton for the name Carter, but if you have any other names I will take another look for other parishes.
