First is James Brunton and Sophia Twait(e)s and then James Rose and Mary Ann Bullen.

Thanks very Much

♥Deetortrainingnewfys♥ Report 6 Nov 2007 14:19

Hi Theresa
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, I haven't been on Pc for a few days.

I have found the two marriages you were asking about and also, I have checked the names Brunton and Rose for the two parishes the names come up in, so have listed any others for you which may be of interest.

If there are other surnames/parishes you would like me to try, please get back to me.

James Rose & Mary Ann Bullen 10/11/1833 Stow Bedon.

John Brunton & Ann(e) Whitethread 16/8/1803 Shipdham

William Brunton & Marthanna Neale 11/10/1830 Shipdham.

Ann Brunton & Henry Heyhoe 17/4/1829 Shipdham

Mary Brunton & Robert Hayhoe 16/10/1821 Shipdham

Anne Rose & Thomas Gill 10/3/1819 Shipdham

William Rose & Mary Hunter 28/2/1822 Shipdham.

Hope these help.

Hi Dee,

Thanks for that, really helpful. I am a novice to all this so anything helps.

Margaretfinch Report 6 Nov 2007 15:20

Hello Dee thank you for your offer I am looking for a Thomas Ranson married to a Susanna ?? in Suffolk around 1819-1822. thankyou

♥Deetortrainingnewfys♥ Report 6 Nov 2007 15:44

Hi, Unfortunately, the CD only covers 25 suffolk parishes and there is not a Thomas Ranson listed in them.

There is a James, a Robert and a William Ranson, but they were married in Kings Lynn and Wood Dalling....if you find these are connect, come back and I will give you their spouse names and date of marriage.

Sorry I couldn't help with Thomas Ranson

Margaretfinch Report 6 Nov 2007 18:28

Vicky Report 8 Nov 2007 16:46

Hi Thankyou for that
didnt know the right date by any chance does it give John's DOB or do you know where i could find it

Cheryl Report 8 Nov 2007 18:58

Hello Denise

Does Outwell come under Norfolk or Cambridge, I am looking for information on any Etherington marriages from very late 1700 to about 1837.?

Many thanks

Vicky Report 8 Nov 2007 20:58

Hi I have another but I have no idea of the date at all

There Names are John Burton & Susanna Burton they had thier first child in 1931 her name was Harriet

In the 1841 Census John was 32
and Susanna was 29

I am not sure of the area I dont know Norfolk very well but one Census has place as Calthorpe and another has them in Baconsthorpe

Hope you can help Thankyou

♥Deetortrainingnewfys♥ Report 8 Nov 2007 23:05

The only way to find his DOB is by looking for his baptism in the family parish - Cawston, either by going to the NRO or to the LDS to view copies of the parish records.

John Burton & Susanna Smith were married on 23/8/1830 in Calthorpe

I also found other Burton marriages in Baconsthorpe:

James Burton & Elizabeth Means 4/10/1803

Joseph Burton & Hannah Ward 12/3/1828

and there was a marriage in Cawston too:

Thomas Burton & Lydia Austin 16/5/1808

♥Deetortrainingnewfys♥ Report 8 Nov 2007 23:09

Outwell was part of Norfolk and I have found the following Etherington marriages in this parish:

Abraham Etherington & Mary Burrows 18/8/1817

Thomas Etherington & Charlotte Hall 3/1/1832

William Etherington & Nisiah Cato 29/10/1820

Mary Etherington & James Pearson 3/7/1820

Rebecca Etherington & Robert Reeve 4/7/1833

Sarah Etherington & Thomas Bushell 24/5/27

There were not many Etheringtons left on the CD, so if you would like the others listed, please get back to me.

Cheryl Report 8 Nov 2007 23:31

Many thanks Denise

Apologies for replying so late, just come in from playing Bridge.

If you could supply the rest I would be grateful.

I think the one I am interested in is William and Nisiah Cato, there seems to be so many transcriptions of her names in various records.

She has daughter Sarah which "seems" to tie in with my great grandmother.

Many thanks again

p.s Do you have any records for Barningham in Suffolk.

Sarah Etherington had 4 children by Isaac Baker but I do not think they were married

♥Deetortrainingnewfys♥ Report 8 Nov 2007 23:35

Hi A T M

There are only two male Grudgfields on the CD neither are Philip, they were married in Gt Yarmouth. Is this the area you are looking at?

Also there is one female Grudgfield, one Grudgefield and one grutchfield

let me know if you would like them anyway

♥Deetortrainingnewfys♥ Report 8 Nov 2007 23:53

The CD covers
Barningham, Lt
Barningham, Norwood
& Barningham Town
all in Norfolk

The other Etheringtons on the CD are as follows:

Michael Etherington & Frances Neal 1/11/1820 at Terrington St Clement

William Etherington & Mary Jackson 10/4/1821 Upwell

Frances Etherington & Robert Terrrington 8/3/1825 at Terrington St Clement
Mary Etherington & William Brighty 18/5/1828 Walsoken

That is all of them, so if Sarah and Isaac were married, it could be out of these dates (1801-1837) or in a different parish in Suffolk.

I checked the CD for a marriage for Isaac Baker, but there wasn't one.

Let me know the names you would like me to check for Barningham parishes.

♥Deetortrainingnewfys♥ Report 8 Nov 2007 23:57

There are two marriages for a Thomas Ditcham on the CD

to Ann Hayward on 29/6/1815 in St George Tombland

to Rebecca Lewis on 14/2/1819 in Gorleston

Vicky Report 9 Nov 2007 13:33

Thankyou for this information I really appreciate it you have been so kind,

Cheryl Report 9 Nov 2007 14:36

Many thanks for the information - Icertainly have plenty to look at for the moment.

Isaac was a widower in the 1851 census Sarah was his housekeeper name Ethrinton.

1861 name Baker she died in 1866 - their children kept switching their names Baker, Etheington and Everington.

Once again thank you.
