hi i am trying to find a marriage record of an ellen chapman (b kent 1863) to john or joseph sullivan ( born drury lane london 1865) they had a daughter in 1890 called katherine sullivan so im placing their marriage anywhere between 1880 and 1890. but there just doesn't seem to be any record. the only possible theory i came up with was a list of four names on index 1d 1432, the names are :

mary maria w chapman
john joseph sullivan
ellen rich
william mathews

in the sept quart 1880, is there anyway possibility that somehow these names were typed into the index wrong. I know i'm clutching at straws but i don't know of any other explanation .

1891 census 'ellen' was known as lilian.

many thanks nikki
