SueAT Report 26 Oct 2007 18:39

My maternal grandmother's family (Botfield) moved from West Bromwich up to Glasgow in the early 1900s to around 1912. They lived in the Springburn area of Glasgow - Leckethill St. My great grandfather - John - was killed in an accident in the iron works in 1915 and his son Joseph was killed on 31/07/1917 in Passchendael. The surviving children were Maria, John, Gladys, Thomas, Sarah and Rose.

We know that at least one of my great grandfather's brothers (Thomas) also moved up to Glasgow and that there are surviving great grandchildren around.

I would love to get in contact to see what they know and if they can add to the time scales involved.
