i have been trying to piece all the manships together from leicester most of them seem to have come from there and was freemans .oliver his father was from leicester then when out to sea it looked like his son went of at a early age because he did not seem to be with him on the 1891 census. i have most of the marriage certs from leiceter for the manships in leicester, pieceing them together is a challenge.

Do you have a Frederick Manship, born 1855, Leicester, in your tree, Tina?
I've just found his son Edgar Thomas enlisting for WW1 in Canada. He was born 5 Dec.1891, Leicester and I found him in 1901 with parents Frederick & Emma in Leicester.
