An Apology

I would like to sincerely apologise to all users who have been affected by any problems experienced on the site this afternoon. We had prepared a new release for deployment today, and it had undergone a great deal of testing. The release included some significant changes behind the scenes. However, after deployment we found that we were experiencing a higher than normal level of errors that was just unacceptable. We have therefore rolled back to the previous code version, and will undertake a thorough investigation into the issues that occurred so that we can roll the release out early next week.

Once again, to all concerned, my personal apologies as well as those of the whole Genes Team for the disruption to our service.

Regards
Phil Moir
