Genes Reunited School Competition

We recently invited some schools in the Hampshire, Surrey areas to take part in a War Memorial competition.
Each school had to make their own memorial in remembrance of the soldiers who died serving their country. All of the schools were given free access to Genes Reunited so that they could research soldiers from their area.
All of the participating schools have now submitted their entries and the winning schools have been chosen.

We wanted to share with you the winning entries because we were so impressed with the work that was submitted. It was wonderful to see how the children had thrown themselves into the project and we hope that the competition encouraged the children to discover more about the heroic actions of all the men who served WW1.
