Hi,

I know you have decided not to pursue this matter, however, thought you may be interested in the following:

If there was a question about the registration, you need to ask the General register office why did the registrar register a "fictious birth" when registrar offices receive lists of notified births? So if the birth was not on that list, why did the registration go ahead, because if the list was not up-to-date, all the registrar had to do was to contact the hospital, as all midwives who home deliver register births?

Was child benefit paid?

If the baby died, where is the death registration and more importantly where is the baby buried or crematied?

Or is this a case of a very distressed lady, who had lost a baby through miscarriage or the baby's development was such that it could not be deemed to have been a stillbirth and perhaps the general registrar office has a policy whereby registrars do not confront an obvious distressed, bereaved parent?
