I did notice that freereg are in the process of transcribing Bridgwater St Mary's which is good news for me!!

I have one name and I haven't a clue where she is from:

Hannah Murren who was born in Somerset according to the 1851 census, in 1803.

So if anyone knows where she was born I would be most grateful.

Sue - don't suppose you have a Susan Broom born c1852 in Lyme Regis. She went on to Marry a George Cross and moved to South Wales?

I moved to Somerset in 1983 -
and have just discovered that my OH family originated from North Cadbury!
We had no idea!

Also an ancestor of mine married into the Bolwell family from Tarnock, nr Axbridge!
