Hi Derek,

Thank you for the information. Hannah and her parents came from another genes member and although I am more than happy to take peoples research at face value it is always nice to have dates confirmed. The two siblings of Hannah were also made available to me together with two other siblings Elizabeth White 1738 and Robert White 1726. Elizabeths birth and parentage I am tempted to accept as it also shows on the igi website, however Robert White 1726 seems rather early compared with the other children and the parents marriage. Are you able to throw any light on these births.

Also, do you have any records to indicate who Ann Palfreymans parents were. The only birth that I could find on the igi website was for a Ann Palfeyman was 1711 but Tideswell so I am not sure about this one at all.

Many thanks, Sandra

Hi Sandra
.Parish records you can take as 100%..and i have loads........the 1726 birth and the 1738 birth are quite wide apart and do not show on the parish records...howver i will have another look.

Hi again Sandra I'm not a great fan of IGI and LSD records..unless they are extracted..the birth for Ann palfreyman will NOT be extracted becasue i have the Tideswell Parish records from which such info would have been extracted....the only Ann who might fit is in fact Anne.bapt15.11.1812...ok she could have been born 1811, becasue one of the great mysteries tro me is the length of time you often find in early records of the gap between birth and baptism..Her father was george palfreyman by the way.
There are trillions of palfreymans in Tideswell!

will keep digging for you

Derek

Thanks for your kind offer. I have John Drabble who married Deborah Hollingworth in 1749 in Peak Forest Chapel. They went on to have a number of children in the Chesterfield area, including Samuel around 1763. By 1785 Samuel has moved to Notts where he stayed all his life. I found a death for Deborah, but nothing for John. Anything on John would be greatly appreciated. His son Samuel said John was "farmer of Grassmoor"

Derek Report 8 Oct 2008 20:38

Hi Sandra.....I would be tempted to reject both Robert and Elizabeth..because Elizabeth was bapt 05.05 1738 daughter of Robert and Anne...with an E..I'll see if i can find a marriage..... and the 1726 Robert...02.10.1726 was the son of John and Alice..........

Hi Derek,

Thanks for looking for me. I had serious doubts about the Robert 1726 but thought that Elizabeth was a possibility as it fiited in with the other dates.

Thank you for finding me Ann Palfreymans birth details. I can now add her father George to my tree.

Hi Derek

Sorry to be a nuisence but I am a little confused about Ann Palfreyman. The entry I found on the igi web site was an extracted entry - the 15 Nov 1511 (christening). Do you think that this is the christening record for my Ann. I thought she was born in North Wingfield. Is there another record for Ann which is mory likely?

Derek Report 8 Oct 2008 22:04

Sandra..the child Robert b 1726 could not be the child of Robert and Ann palfreyman..they werent married till 1734
I haven't found the birth of Ann Palfreyman..only Anne Palfreyman baptised 1812.......I'd be happey enopugh with that if you accpet that she could be Ann on one entry and Anne on another.

Derek

Derek Report 8 Oct 2008 22:13

Ann palfreyman was MARRIED in north Wingfield..she was not born in North Wingfield..the only Ann born in NWF in 1711 was Ann Cutt.who didn't marry there.

Hi Derek,

Thanks for the clarification. I will therefore assume that Ann Palfreyman of Tideswell was the correct Ann.

Many thanks for all your help Sandra.

Hey Derek,

Not sure if you saw my earlier post on this thread re Emma Colledge, or if it was just too vague a request?. Either way I certainly appreciate all time and effort this takes, it's very kind of you.

Sincere Best Wishes,
