HiMike.
Well would you believe it ...when i originally searched for John Henry in 1871 there was only a Jan Henry, so i followed that line assuming Jan was a spelling mistake , but since you did the search for me and got a different fathers name i have now found the John Henry with the father George but only because someone had either spelt it wrong or transcribed it wrong, it comes up as Barmell...then underneath in brackets comes up with Barnacle.
would you please check for a marriage for me for George Barnacle(aged 23) and Eliza Ann(aged 21) in 1871 census they had John Henry and he was 1 year old they were living Palmerton street Melville terrace, Civil parish St Margarets. Thanks for pointing this out....so i have now gone from being related to a family of schoolmasters to a family of scarf weavers...lol...feels more comfortable already.
I have done a quick search on the marriage and come up with George Barnacle and Eliza Ann Knight married Leicester 7a 420 if that helps as i woul love fathers names if possible .Thanks Donna

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the information you have provided. Unfortunately it was James Dumelow I was looking for the son of John. That is all the information I have except that there was talk with another contact a number of years ago that his father John was named Domelow. Would it be possible for you to look at this please.

Regarding the Marriage 1885 Dec Qrt. Oakham

I think your going down the wrong Avenue…….

I have John Henry Barnacle Marring Alice Clarke.
In LEICESTER Dec Qrt. 1885.
Cert No’. 7 a 428.
This checks out in both surnames.
It’s not St: Margaret’s Church for this marriage.
Just wonder if they too married in St: Marks Parish Church same as your other one ?

It also fits with the Census returns for John Henry & Alice 1891 ~1901.
1891. RG12. / 2533. / 127./ Page. 29.
1901. RG13./ 2994./ 5. / Page. 32.

Hi Mike

My Job Gamble died in 1905 and Gilroes opened in 1902, does this mean that he would be buried there, as the others are now full, or are they being selective with few spaces.

I have a marriage in Oakham if you can help Mike its between John Henry Barnacle and Alice Clark/e Dec quarter 1885.

thanks in advance Donna

Hi Mike
Yep i have had various spellings of her Hannah Maria /Anna Marie /Annie name, cant believe you managed to decipher Addison though...lol...she married Richard Addison Dec quarter 1874, she was the oldest of the siblings. So glad with Alfreds marriage though as ihad found his 2nd marriage to Rose Selina Gee (WIDOW) Dec quarter 1890, but they had two children in 1891 census aged 8 and 6, found a death for Elizabeth Coleman Rodgers Sept quarter 1886, can't wait to win the lottery so i can send off for all the B/M/D cert's to verify everything...lol.Thanks again Mike truely grateful
