I spent a bit of time at the library and took the following information from the OPRs – it might be useful to someone.
Alexander Potter & Janet Watson:
children:
1. Kirkliston 1809 “POTTER Alexander Potter and Janet Watson his spouse had a child born the 27th of July and bap. The 5th of Augt. 1809 named David Wit James Potter and ? Ritchie
2. (this is a bit of a ballsup!) Kirkliston POTTER Alexander Potter and Janet Wilson his spouse had a child born Decr. 15th and bap. The 25th 1809 Named [name missing] Wit. James and David Potter. Next line. POTTER Alexander Potter and Janet Wilson his spouse had a child born Decr. The 17th and bap. The 25th 1811 Named Alexander Wit. Alexander Hill and James Anderson.
