Have been looking for a Falmouth, Cornwall baptism 1876/1877. Contacted one of the people updating the Cornish free Bap,M & D website. She replied that baptisms at the moment only go up to 1860.
That she is working jointly with IGI and transcribing the visual records England, Cornwall Parish Registers, 1538-2010
Presently she is working on the burials. Wondered how a burial I looked for last week suddenly appeared yesterday.

However the CFHS, didn’t allow their registers for Falmouth King Charles to be filmed and they charge £10 per hour payment in advance to look up the records.

Yes - I've had this happen to me very occasionally. I assumed they were updating stuff, or had an excessive system load. Given the global nature of their demand, this can occur at odd UK times - I think their main servers are 7 hours behind the UK time, but in the middle of US times.
It's been OK a day or two later.

I have browsed through a couple of sets of marriages in those Cornish parishes. I browse fairly quickly, looking for one of a small number of surnames and after about 20 images I get told to "Try again later". Does anyone else have that problem?

This is an unindexed collection, but you can "Browse through 38,405 images"
The collection has images from 184 parishes (incl one - Werrington - in Devon)
Records are restricted for privacy reasons according to the following dates: baptisms to 1910, marriages to 1935, and burials to present.

It ought to be mentioned that the OPC site has masses of searchable transcribed parish records.

There are many online parish clerks (known as OPCs) who are volunteers and are happy to look up records - they transcribe from registers and put the details on the site or on their own computer.
